Where's Lina? Contest Pictures 2010

Oculina Bank is thrilled that so many people allowed Lina to travel with you locally and far away. Because of YOU, Lina was able to visit 10 states and over 17 countries worldwide.

Below we have listed three finalists, one from each category of the contest, that will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing for the 3 Day / 2 Night cruise.

1. Lina with the most famous celebrity. On November 20, 2010 Kenny Byrd submitted pictures of Lina with several NASCAR Drivers at the Homestead Racing course in South Florida. But it was the picture of Lina with Jeff Gordon that convinced the judges this was the most famous celebrity with Lina.

2. The Most Interesting or Exotic Picture of Lina on the Treasure Coast. On September 11, 2010 Dennis Labeur sent in an incredible photo of a Porpoise jumping out of the water in front of a tugboat with our own Lina in the photo.

3. Greatest Distance From The Treasure Coast – This category had by far the most entrants. We had several entries that were over 10,000 miles away such as one entry in front of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and another from the city of Adelaide in Australia. In a photo submitted on November 13th, the farthest distance away was taken by Jay and Terrie Mitchell in Singapore Harbor, Singapore at 10,428 miles away from Vero Beach, Florida.

We also had 5th graders from 4 Elementary Schools on the Treasure Coast write 500 word essays about "THE ADVENTURES OF LINA." We received over 200 essays that were just outstanding. Oculina Bank surprised the classes with a Pizza Party in December.

We hope everyone had a great time with the contest and essays. And again, thank you very much for your participation.
